The Solution: Never wetsand the Colorcoat. If you have a bump or imperfection in the Colorcoat, do not try to sand it down—it will likely require you to strip the area and reapply the base. Save yourself the time: let the Colorcoat dry as-is, and save your sanding for the clear coat stage.

Applying touch-up paint with a standard hardware store brush is a recipe for a "blobby" finish.
